The goats have arrived and this farm will never be the same!  First there were two, then four, now six.  I can't fully describe what their presence has added to our lives.  They are funny, mischievous, and oh soooo affectionate.  Upon arrival their average weight was 10 pounds making it very easy to carry them around, which they most certainly preferred.  It didn't take long though with the help of a rich and nutritious bottle fed formula for them to pack on the pounds making it quite difficult to meet their expectations of being held every time we are in with them.  They have integrated beautifully into the farm life here and we are looking forward to years of developing a productive, healthy, happy herd.  Their contribution, aside from the constant funny antics and enjoyment, is to supply us with goats milk for making cheese, soaps, and a line of other goat milk based products.
